Welcome to Cape Town Exotic Mushrooms® We are an urban gourmet and medicinal mushroom farm based in South Africa near Cape Town City Centre. We utilize the best equipment and a high level of hands-on expertise, in a clean food growing process. Producing AAA+ quality mushrooms, containing amazing taste, with properties second to none! This is our passion; it brings us mush joy connecting people and fungi.

Team

At Cape Town Exotic Mushrooms our in-house expertise consists of mycology, microbiology, genomics, marketing, web development, graphics design, sales, and hospitality.

Cape Town Exotic Mushrooms maintains a steadfast commitment to promoting the cultivation of high-quality gourmet and medicinal mushrooms. We enjoy sharing our knowledge of growing mushrooms, while constantly exploring new techniques and ways to apply them in cultivation as well as culinary cuisine.

Regardless of whether we are sharing our knowledge of mushroom cultivation and foraging, our favourite mushroom recipes, or simply our overwhelming admiration for this often-overlooked biological kingdom. We are striving to be a community hub for fungi enthusiasts, both beginner and expert.

Sustainability

In addition to the positive environmental impacts of mycelium (e.g., soil nutrient cycling, bioremediation). The potential for mushrooms to naturally improve health and wellness and become a key sustainable meat alternative are core drivers of what we do.
